We recruit qualified accountants for each of our practice areas.

McAvoy & Associates is a dynamic and progressive advisory firm that provides tax, business and financial advice to a growing base of business and private clients. Our recruitment process is straightforward and usually involves two separate interviews with one or two of our directors.

Our interviews are informal and relaxed and we use them to allow you to perform to the best of your ability and to give you the opportunity to ask questions.

Our Practice Areas

  • Taxation

Because we are a consulting practice that gives advice on all the Irish taxes, you can expect to gain a much wider breadth of experience than would be the case in a generalist firm of accountants or in a firm where you are merely allocated a portfolio of either corporate or income tax clients. You will participate in our year-round tax training programmes and will be encouraged to take a specialist interest in particular areas of Irish taxation

  • Business Advisory

We specialise in M&A, Capital Raising and Transactional Services across a broad variety of sectors. Working directly with a director you will support our clients on all aspects of their particular corporate transaction and will acquire experience in analysing transactions, providing trusted independent advice always using a straightforward, personal approach.

  • Accounting

You will work with businesses of all sizes to provide them with a full range of management and statutory accounting services. By producing financial statements in a timely manner, you will get to help clients in accurate performance measurement, the creation of key decision-making information and in business forecasting and planning.

Training and Benefits

We are a relatively small office, so we take great care in the selection and development of all our staff. Many of our staff are prize winners in national accounting and taxation exams. But professional development does not stop with exams. We encourage and train all our staff, from trainees to directors, to develop their capabilities throughout their careers. The progress of each member of staff is mentored by a director so that guidance and advice is always at hand.
